Stillness takes strength.
A kestrel can hold perfectly still in a headwind, every muscle working so its head doesn't move. That is the strength we teach: small-group reformer and mat classes at 212 Alder Street, seven days a week.
Every day of the week
28 classes a week, from before work to after dinner. Pick a time, then call, text or write to hold your spot.

Your first 3 classes, $59.
For your first visit. Any three classes on the schedule, reformer or mat, so you can find the one that suits you.
The classes
Every class is small enough that the instructor can watch you, not just the clock.
-
Reformer
Springs, straps and a sliding carriage that can make an exercise easier or much harder. The class most people picture when they hear "Pilates".
With Lena Ortiz and Maya Chen
-
Mat
The original method, on the floor, with your own body weight. Nothing to hide behind, and a good place to learn the fundamentals.
With Lena Ortiz and Sam Brooks
-
Prenatal
Reformer work adapted for each trimester, and for the months after. Tell us how far along you are when you book.
With Maya Chen
-
Strength
Mat Pilates with light weights and longer holds, for steadier hips, backs and shoulders.

Who teaches
Lena Ortiz opened the studio in 2019. Three instructors teach the schedule now.
The studio
One bright room with the reformers in a row under tall windows. Mats and props are ready when you arrive. Bring water, and come as you are.
